Victoria Beckham this week dressed to her usual immaculate best for an appearance at the High Court in London. The lovely one was not in the dock, instead she was there to receive an apology from their former nanny for disclosing private and confidential information about the Beckhams. As they emerged from the courts, Victoria Beckham was wearing a figure-hugging dogtooth check dress with a boat collar, her trademark oversized Gucci shades and black-grey T Bar shoes. 
On her right arm she carried a Chanel Kelly bag which clearly inspired the Audrey Hepburn look. This beautiful version of the quilted Chanel bag has a grab handle instead of the chain used on the 2.55. Lucky Victoria Beckham also owns an oversize Chanel chain handbag as well, which she has used on various engagements with the children.

I love phones, in all shapes and sizes.  When I tried to help set up a telephone network at my partner’s office I soon realised that we need some outside help.  Buying a phone system is nothing like buying a handbag, I am afraid to say.  You cannot just buy it and plug it in if you need any kind of sophisticated performance. One American Handbag Designer whose stock is very much on the up is Michael Kors. Following his recognition at Project Runway, Michael Kors’ bags are appearing everywhere. The accent is always on luxury, catering to US glamorous lifestyle images, and the leather is superb quality with that rich leather smell that seems to ooze quality in a handbag.

Purple plaited handle shopper with lace up detail. Bag has two purple tassels to the front, gold hardware and a gold, branded MK attachment. Bag fastens with a gold zip. Michael Kors makes quite a few medium totes, this is a good choice if your budget does not strecth to buying unlimited designer handbags. However the Michael Kors Brookville Bag suffers from a common design drawback, in that the strap is slightly too short to loop over the shoulder comfortably. I found this with the Chloe Paddington as well. How does it happen? Do the designers forget that real women are going to be wearing jackets or even coats when they use the bags?

The Rehearsal tote is an alternative tote from Michael Kors. This is an unstructured shopper with protective feet to avoid scuffing the textured leather. There is plenty of detail and clever stitching, plus useful storage pockets inside. The drawstring closure is secured to silver metal plates at each end, and there is more metalwork at the base of the straps.

To carry this bag on your shoulder is still a little snug, but it is very comfortable to carry as the body of the handbags is not excessively deep.
