I am really disturbed by French Designer Handbag brands’ victory in the French courts today. They went to court to stop prefumes being sold below retail priced on eBay. This could mean we all have to pay much more for designer goods: in the second part of the case the court agreed with Louis Vuitton that eBay sellers would not be allowed to sell fine fragrances at a discount. That does not mean cheap designer knockoffs - these were reputable retailers selling genuine perfumes at discount prices. This decision seems to fly in the face of every piece of free trade law in Europe, and I hop eBay win their appeal. computer memory
