Getting away
In five weeks I am getting married, and after all the hard work of arranging the ceremony we finally thought about where to go afterwards. A honeymoon should be a relaxing, away from it all experience where you can enjoy yourselves together. In my dreams there was a vision of one of those all inclusive vacation packages where you are waited on hand and foot, thinking only about ordering the next cocktail of the choice of activities for that day. But these kind of getaways don’t normally come cheap, do they? Actually I have tracked down that dream vacation, and it is not going to break the bank. In Curacao the Breezes Spa all inclusive resort vacation sits next to a long beach of soft silver sand with the waves lapping gently at the water’s edge. There is some of the most fantastic scuba diving on offer and as this is an all inclusive deal, there is no extra charge. So if I find out scuba is not for me I can just try something else. This is not a place where all my friends have been, and that makes it more special! Curacao was the island where Steve McQueen landed after his escape in Papillon so that makes the island even more special.
Islands are great locations for all inclusive beach resorts and this one is no exception. There is a chance to see all the creatures of the sea while swimming, or we can just visit the nearby aquarium for a close up view. The Breezes resort even offers wedding ceremonies on the spot, dealing with all the formalities. Maybe we will just forget about tying the knot here and take the plunge in Curacao instead.
