Oh dear it is that time of year agaian, when my man has to insure his car for the year ahead. Whereas I deal with my own auto insurance and tax quietly, for him the whole episode becomes high drama. Being male, his ego does not allow him to arrange the auto insurance renewal in good time, so we have to witness copies of proof of bonus being sent by special delivery. Then of course I am prevailed upon to organise the payment or produce said documents to ensure continuity of cover.
Does this strike a chord wih you, ladies? What exactly is the genetic difference between us that makes a man’s auto insurance policy so much more complicated that a woman’s, I wonder. Obviously we are better drivers and we have far fewer accidents than them, but that should make us want to make a big deal, should it not? Men are often the high risk drivers so they may need to shop around to reduce their premium, whereas we ladies are coiurted by our insurers who are desperate to retain our business.
